Sun Of A Beach was built for the week when three generations share one roof and nobody wants to get back in the car.

Walk out the front porch, turn toward the ocean, and you are on the beach in about a minute. Come back salty and rinse off in the outdoor shower, then slide into the five-foot saltwater pool, heated when the mornings are cool and chilled when the August sun gets serious. Four lounge chairs, an eight-seat umbrella table, and a thatched tiki bar create a relaxed atmosphere.

Inside, the kids vanish into the arcade for PacMan and NBA Jam while the grown-ups claim the covered balcony. Four king and double bedrooms have their own en-suite baths, the shark bunk room has a PS4, and an elevator carries coolers and luggage to every floor. When dinner calls, the 6-seat golf cart rolls you down to the Surfside Beach Pier and the restaurants along the way, parking pass included.
